Common repairs explained

How much does garage door repair cost?

It depends on what actually broke, the size and weight of the door, and whether the parts around the failure also need replacing — a single spring is a different job from a spring, cables and a bent track. We will give you a real number before any work starts, not after. Here is what drives the price.

Do you offer same-day service?

Often, yes — common spring, cable and opener parts are stocked on the truck, so many repairs are finished on the first visit. Call or text early and we will tell you honestly whether today is realistic rather than booking you and hoping.

Can you help troubleshoot over the phone?

Yes, and we would rather do that than charge you for a visit you did not need. Sensor alignment, remote batteries, a disconnected trolley and a thrown manual lock are all things we regularly talk people through for free. Call or text 816-616-8352 and send a photo if you can.

Should I repair or replace my garage door?

Repair, if repair makes sense — that is the whole idea behind fix first. A door with one damaged section, a broken spring or a failing opener is usually worth repairing. Replacement earns its cost when the panels are rusted through, the door is badly out of square, or the parts it needs are no longer made. We will show you which one you have and why.

Do you repair all garage door brands?

We work on the brands common across the Kansas City metro — Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton and others — and on LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Genie openers. Springs, cables, rollers, hinges and tracks are largely standard parts regardless of the badge on the door.
